3-Year BSN Transfer Program

Designed for students transferring from other colleges, universities, or from within UVA, this program offers a direct path to earning your BSN in just three years.

Through six semesters of full-time study and a 120-credit curriculum, students gain the academic foundation and clinical experience needed to sit for the NCLEX exam upon graduation—and to thrive in their nursing careers.

2-Year Accelerated BSN Transfer Program (ABSN)

This full-time, fast-paced program is for students who’ve completed at least two years of college coursework but haven’t yet earned a bachelor’s degree. We welcome transfer students from other institutions as well as current UVA students.

The ABSN spans two academic years—including two summer sessions—and provides rich clinical exposure, hands-on learning, and a structured, supportive environment. Students begin in May and progress through the program as part of a close-knit, collaborative cohort. With 120 credits and a robust curriculum, you’ll be well-prepared for the NCLEX and beyond.
